Support Ever Forward

I am Ashanti Branch, Fall ’93-Omicron Pi Chapter – Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo.

I am the founder and Executive Director of Ever Forward-Siempre Adelante which created The Ever Forward Club 7 years ago.

I am coming to you for your support. I asked for your support at founders weekend, So I am providing this venue for you to provide support for my non-profit organization, which is in a great place for a breakthrough in 2011.

Our Mission – to create communities of students who are setting and achieving their personal goals inside and outside the classroom.

Our Vision – to support over 1000 student by the year 2015.

Our Purpose – to change the way that students view their education by providing them with a support system that holds them to high expectations so that, they learn to look for solutions to challenges in their lives rather than just giving up.

Sigma supports students at Peabody Middle School

TRICITIES (WWBT) – Dr. Kenneth W. Lewis, Education Director for the Alpha Kappa Sigma (AKS) Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., donated approximately 20 backpacks, each full of school supplies to Dr. Yardley Farquharson, Principal of Peabody Middle School in Petersburg, Virginia, to be given to Peabody students who would benefit from them. This donation was made on behalf of the members of the local graduate chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Even though many donation programs have been in effect since the beginning of the school year, there are still children who need school supplies and other forms of academic support. The men of the Alpha Kappa Sigma Chapter which serves the Southside VA region wanted to make an educational contribution to one of the local schools in their service area. With Petersburg School Board Member, Dr. Kenneth Lewis, also a member of the graduate chapter, it was an easy choice.

Community, groups gather for scholarship gala

From the Online Athens (Athens Banner Herald – Athens, GA):

A collection of Northeast Georgia agencies will come together with the community Saturday with hopes of sending some gifted students to college.

Lincoln Lodge No. 62, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., James Ray Royal Arch No. 34 and the In Touch Management Group have teamed up to host the inaugural White Linen Scholarship Gala in Monroe. Entertainment from a full range of artists will fill the evening, and the payoff will help students pursue a higher education.
