Southern Region Endorses Mason
This is the official communication from the Southern Regional Director. Please forward to all Brothers.
Greetings Brother!
The 93rd Southern Regional Conference in Jackson, MS was a huge success! Congratulations to Zeta Nu Chapter (University of GA) Regional Step Champions and Ms. Alabama for winning Ms. Southern Region Phi Beta Sigma! Congratulations to Bro. Carlos Williams II for receiving the 2007 Southern Regional Director Award for Outstanding Service to the Region.
During the conference, brothers from the Southern Region heard both candidates for International President, Hon. Bro. Paul Griffin and Bro. Jonathan Mason.
After the conference during the Post-Conference Southern Regional Board Meeting on April 22 at 8 a.m., the Southern Regional Director and a majority of the states in the Southern Region officially endorsed Bro. Jonathan Mason for International President!
Based on our knowledge we believe Bro. Mason is the best candidate to lead Phi Beta Sigma during the next term!
Now we have to make certain ALL chapters send delegates to vote the Wednesday (August 1) of Conclave 2007 (July 30 – August 5). You MUST attend in order to vote! Arrive Early!
Chapters, please make your plans to attend the 2007 International Conclave to vote for the next International Officers for our great fraternity and to conduct the business of Phi Beta Sigma.
If you have any questions, please contact me.

Brothers at Virginia Tech
Paul just sent this out via the Sigma Network
By now, you have heard of the shooting on the campus of Virginia Tech. Our prayers go out to the families of those that were injured and killed during this senseless act of violence. We wish the entire Virginia Tech family God speed during this time of need.
All is well with the Brothers of Mu Nu Chapter located Virginia Tech. I spoke with the chapter President, Brother Thomas Williams earlier today, and he informed me all Brothers registered at school were accounted for and were not harmed in any manner. On behalf of the Brotherhood, I expressed our concern for them and we are glad to know everything is fine with our Brothers of the Blue and White. Also, please know that all of our sisters of Zeta Phi Beta on the campus are fine as well.
If you would like to reach out to Brother Williams, he gave me the OK to include his email address in this statement. He can be reached at TWILL@VT.edu.
Thank you in advance for all you do and have done for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
