it may not be totally evident from this blog, but i’ve yet to meet bluephi.net’s top contributor bro. kevin christian, author of the today in sigma history series. if i may borrow an online cliche, behold the power of the internet. [oh boy i just read that again and realized how corny that sounds] but back to my point, we’ve exchanged emails and been on several mass email threads together over the years, so imagine my joy when his earlier post this week says he’s coming to san jose. you know i had to make this happen. turns out kevin was staying a mere half mile from the Y! campus i used to be at and last night, we headed to santana row for some seafood and great conversation.
i’ll spare you the details of what we ate, drank, talked about, but i do have two things on my to do list. number one is getting the Sigma Museum on display at the western regional conference. number two is gathering brothers, young and old, to just sit with kevin and hear his stories about the brothers, their families, their friends, etc. that he’s come across while collecting our fraternity’s history. he’s got business that’ll bring him back to the bay area a few more times so if you’re local, drop me an email.
