Dr. Kevin D. Rome named Lincoln’s 19th president

After a 9-month search, Lincoln University announced Friday morning: their search is over.

Officials said Dr. Kevin D. Rome will be the University’s 19th president.

Rome will take over as president on June 1, 2013.

He is currently the Vice chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. He’s worked there since 2008.

Rome has previously had other administrative positions at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and at Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia.

He’s also worked at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis.

Rome has a bachelor of arts degree from Morehouse College, a masters degree from the University of Georgia and a PHD from the University of Texas.

Bro. Kevin Rome was the Omicron Pi chapter adviser at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo when I came through. I’m extremely happy to share news of his continued success.
