Omicron Pi Chapter
My Brother, my friend and mentor, you will be missed. Always encouraging others with your words of wisdom. I love you and I will miss you deeply. You will forever be in our minds and soul. Rest in Peace!
JR was a good brother, friend and mentor. I am going to miss him. He always had a way to make you feel better about yourself, even when you had litle reason to. JR, thank you for expecting more from me that I expected from myself. We love you and will miss you dearly.
Brothers: I found this doing a quick search for JR on google. its a reference to his senior project back in 1990 from Cal Poly:
An evaluation of the effect of mis-register on the combination of GCR and UCA separations in the multi-color halftone image /–by Joseph C. Rance, Jr. (1990)

ZDS – Summer 98
JR was the main brother to recruite me into Phi Beta Sigma, Omicron Pi chapter. I remember him coming down to the Architecture Lab late one night when I was working on a project due the next day. Architecture was my major at that time. He dropped off a snack, wished me luck, and went on about his business. This was typical of this Brother. He hadn’t planned on running into me, but he still gave of himself for my best interests. JR, I already miss you Frat. Rest in Peace.
I lived down the street from Brother JR, We were in kindergarden to Giannini together. Lost touch and reconnected at Poly…Knew he left SLO for SF, was thinking of him and found him here! Too Young JR! You will always be remembered!
