we’ve all fallen victim to it, likely as a naive neo rockin’ the latest pari you picked up at a recent step show. for me, it was a t-shirt i picked up at the ’94 western regionals in san diego. wahnly fratted it from my sands after he “borrowed” it. didn’t find out until a return trip to school for founder’s day after i’d already graduated. i was like “you fratted that from me!” and he was like “nah i fratted it off rahsaan”…”and he fratted it off me!”
so the blue law topic of the day is how long after you’ve fratted something does transfer of ownership occur? my other sands, marlon, says one year ’cause if you ain’t missed it in a year, then it couldn’t have been that valuable. he goes on to add, unless you’re from out of town – then it should be two years.

wow i don’t recall the pari i ‘fratted’ from Rahsaan. But it must have been fresh to def if i ‘fratted’ it from Rhah. I also did not know that it was even yours to begin with. well i must say thank you frat for your pari, it probably got me places. please remind me of what it was…
as far as ownership is concerned, i think the transfer is immediately after you realize it is gone. it is my personal experience that whenever any pari was ‘fratted’ from me, that the person and i had a personal fraternal bond, making it more of a gift from me (that i probably didn’t want to give up but there are rule to this). now i’m not saying that i didn’t miss my pari but i usually got over it, and it took less than 3 three days. and i would definately not take anything back that was fratted from 3 days after the fact let alone 364 day.

This is funny. To me, it depends on what it is. If its JUST a t shirt…then like the other MAB said, its a gift. Especially if I gave it to him when he was in dire need. But anything significant, a jacket, or costing more than 100.00 is gotta be a one wear only. lol
