From Penn State’s The Daily Collegian:
The members of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. came prepared to laugh on Saturday night with their lineup of famous comedians — and also to spread awareness about ovarian cancer.
The State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave., was packed with college students for Phi Beta Sigma’s Sixth Annual Night of Comedy.
Michael Capehart, president of Phi Beta Sigma said he was excited the fraternity landed comedians Joe Clair and Bruh-Man, who plays a character of the same name on the show “Martin.???
“As soon as we got Joe Clair, he was the attraction factor. If you watched ‘Martin,’ you know who Bruh-Man is. We just go with what names resonate with the community,??? Capehart (senior-health policy and administration) said.
The night wasn’t all laughs, though. Michael Antonio Silas, a member of Phi Beta Sigma and a Daily Collegian photographer on a leave of absence, came on stage throughout the night to tell the audience that every year the fraternity picks a specific kind of cancer to educate the audience about.
